I called a CCI my home and I had to leave it after I turned 18yrs old. YCDA helped me in finding a career of my choice through aftercare programme. Now I am living an independent life and working in a private Mining Company as a Supervisor.

I am also the president of the Odisha Care Leavers Association and I pledge to take this association to meaningful heights! I would like to express my gratitude to the entire team of YCDA who have always supported us in achieving a fulfilling life.

Hello I am Itishree!

I completed a course in Web designing through YCDA’s support which kickstarted the life which I dreamt of. My journey from CCI to covid-19 call centre has been lauded by UNICEF and has been published in the UNICEF India web portal. I feel privileged to serve the nation during this crisis of COVID-19! I would like to thank YCDA and UNICEF for have given a chance to prosper in life.

I lived in a CCI all my life and had never thought I will ever get to see the world outside of it. Thanks to YCDA and Kinderpostzegels, Netherlands for supporting my education in web designing and helped me in getting reintegrated in to the society. I am Milli

I always got fascinated by machines while I was young. I asked my CCI madam to help me study engineering but they couldn’t due to lack of funds. One day I met the YCDA mam who enrolled me in diploma in electronics and telecommunications engineering course through the “Aftercare Programme” of YCDA. After completion of the course, I was placed as the Supervisor in Sterlite Tech Production Company at Ahmadabad, Gujarat.

Hello there! I am Karim

I am pursuing my Batchelors in Arts from Surajmal saha college, Puri. YCDA has mentored and supported me in all my life choices right from my stay in the CCI. I failed, but YCDA never let me down. Today I am a national level Malkhamb player, and I am very proud about it! I am a passionate car driver hence I have taken up part-tike driving jobs to support my life. I have no words to thank YCDA and Kinderpostzegels enough who have made me who I am today.

I was raised by a very strong single mother who did everything to support mine and my siblings life. My mother had no choice but to put me and my sisters in the CCI so that we get food and education. Through YCDA’s aftercare support I completed Diploma in Tele Communications Engineering. I feel proud to be able to earn my livelihood and I shall give the credit to YCDA for it. I am also serving as the “Treasurer Trustee” of the Odisha Care Leavers Association. Sketching karna mujhe bohat achha lagta hai!

Hi, I am Minni Bhadra

Through YCDA’s aftercare support, I completed my vocational training in hospitality from DDUGKY. Today I am all set to fight out the wrongs and win over again! I am proud to have been an integral part in country’s fight against the deadly corona virus! I work in a COVID call centre and ensure my countrymen are Safe! I make hundreds of phone calls and ensure people are safe and being cured. Thank you YCDA for everything what I am today.

My childhood was tough, I was a victim of abuse for which I landed in the CCI. I have a sad story to tell but my strong will has overshadowed the everything and I am an independent and successful girl today. I was passionate about dress designing and hence I chosed to study Sewing Machine operator from DDUGKY though aftercare support. Currently I am placed at an apparel manufacturing company in Bangalore and leading a respectable and independent life.

From a CCI to ISRO, life was a bumpy ride for me. I have always tried helping my peers to come out of the misery. After joining ISRO I never looked back in life! I assure my help for my peers! I am very and proud to be a part of the Odisha Care Leavers Alumni. And would like to thank YCDA for initiating such a platform for children like us.
